“It's too technical.”
“I'm not musical enough.”
“I'm not experienced enough to hold space.”
I felt the same when I started. I bought gear I didn't need. I wasted time watching tutorials that confused me.
But it turns out: you don't need expensive gear or complicated training. There's a simple, intuitive way to create and play your first Ecstatic Dance set, even if you've never opened a DJ program before.
Playing your first Ecstatic Dance set is closer than you think.
Learn exactly where to discover the right music and how to choose tracks that fit each stage of the journey. Understand what makes a song work on the floor: tempo, mood, build. And how to grow a library of tracks you genuinely love.
Move from one track to the next without breaking the trance. Beginner-friendly techniques: read the waveform, align beats, blend tracks even when the styles are different.
Prepare and perform a complete set from start to finish. Organise tracks across the seven stages, set your cues, and play through the arc, guiding a real Ecstatic Dance journey with confidence.
The moment your setup goes from "playing music" to performing. Get comfortable with every knob, fader, and pad you'll actually use on the floor.
From DJing at home to playing live. Position yourself as an Ecstatic Dance DJ, communicate with organisers, prepare your first set, set up at the venue, and step behind the decks. Practice improvised mixing so you can respond to the energy in the room.
You don't need €1,000 of 1-on-1 coaching

If you've done some research, you've probably noticed that most DJ tutorials and courses focus on club DJing.
But Ecstatic Dance isn't about big drops or keeping the energy high all the time. It's about holding space and guiding people through an emotional journey.
Every technique we teach points at one thing: guiding a meaningful and powerful Ecstatic Dance journey.
“As a moderately experienced 5Rhythms teacher, I was looking to elevate my mixing skills, and this course delivered that and so much more.”

The final step of the course is recording your own ecstatic dance set and uploading it. These are some examples our students made.
